This really is one of the easiest cookie recipes around, which also makes it fun to do! You could even make whole batches of these and stuff the extra dough in the freezer for when you have guests over for tea/ coffee and want to offer them a quick and homemade treat. That being said let’s share this recipe with you 🙂
Ingredients (20 small cookies)
- 1/4 cup (50 gr.) Granulated sugar
- 3 1/2 ounces (100 gr.) Unsalted butter on room temperature
- 3/4 cup (150 gr.) Flour
- Optional: some chocolate in small pieces to make chocolate chip cookies
Preheat the oven at 375 fahrenheit/ 190 celsius. First mix the butter and the sugar. Combine this mixture with the flour and keep on kneading until you get a smooth dough. Knead the dough into a roll with a diameter of around 3-4 cm (1.5 inches). Put the dough in the freezer for around 10 minutes. Take out the roll of dough and slice it into discs. Press in the small chocolate pieces in some of them or all of them. Place the discs on the roster of your oven on a baking sheet. Bake the cookies for around 20 minutes or when they are light brown.
