Golden Sesame Salmon Triangles served with Broccoli Stir-fry

Sesame Salmon Triangles

Here we are my kitchen.. It’s one of my favorite times of the day. Time to make dinner!

Totally improvised, but it was wonderful.

The broccoli stir-fry is because of the spices I used a very interesting sensation; a bit of curry, italian herbs and za’atar did the trick.

Most of the time I eat salmon this way with some pasta. The puff pastry of the salmon triangles makes it something different, with the beautiful sesame seeds on top for an exciting sensation in your mouth..Let’s talk no more, I know you can’t wait. So here’s the recipe:

Ingredients Golden Sesame Salmon Triangles (makes 6):

  • 2 salmon filets (I used frozen salmon, but let it thaw first)
  • 6 square sheets of puff pastry
  • 100 grams of herbed cream cheese
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 egg
  • Parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Dice the onion and fry them in a pan for a few minutes. Preheat the oven on 220 Celsius. Dice the thawed salmon filets. In a bowl stir the cream cheese, cooled down onion, salmon, pinch of parsley and some salt and pepper together. Lay out the puff pastry and put some of the salmon mixture on each sheet. Close the triangles. Clutch 1 egg and smear some of it on top of each triangle. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on the packages and put them in the oven for +/- 20 minutes. They are done when the top is golden brown.

Ingredients Broccoli Stir-fry (Serves 2):

  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 tomato
  • Tbsp olive oil
  • curry
  • italian herbs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • za’atar
  • Parmesan cheese flakes

Slice and dice the broccoli in small pieces. Dice the onion and tomato. Cook the broccoli for a few minutes (no longer than 4!). Heat up a tbsp of olive oil in a stir-frying pan and fry the onion and tomato. Drain the broccoli and put them in the pan with the onion and tomato. Add the herbs to taste and sprinkle the parmezan flakes over the vegetables.
